WHAT in person
WHERE the farm, though feel free to have encountered the GHOST HORSE
WHEN Night 3/Day 4 morning
NOTES ADVENT OF THE GHOST HORSE and/or MILD MANNERED PETTING ZOO ARRIVAL! (open/see below)
[anyone out wandering past Day 3's midnight (definitely doing something productive and not trying to find munchies or stagger home drunk) who happened to skirt too close to the wide-open spaces near the lake or woods might have gotten the fright of their lives last night. a dim, pale shape resolved in the distance, accompanied by an inexplicable ringing sound. if they were unlucky enough to be standing in the wrong spot, the chiming got louder and louder, and before they quite realized what was happening some kind of huge ghostly creature had swept past with desperate speed, an invisible force pushing anyone in the way off their feet to safety. A VERY SCARY GHOST!
a single resident of Quiet Mounds alone heard something else in this period: a familiar noise in his head.]
[...there's no explanation for the Ghost Animal Mystery if that just so happened to scare you last night. but if you arrive at the farm anytime past early morning Day 4, a beautiful white horse now seems to be part of the petting zoo. she's eating her hay in the field peacefully, barely flicking an ear at you; well, it's not like horses take a lot of notice of humans normally. or talk.]
((Notes: anyone can feel free to handwave Yfandes scaring you on Night 3, she wasn't paying attention to who she almost ran over! GHOST HOOOORSE. I'll play out her nearly running you over if you really want to and comment to that effect. otherwise, please check my stats and link me to your own/let me know anything you want her to be able to sense from your character! thanks guys ♥))

[locked to Vanyel on Night 3, whatever/whoever he's doing]
Vanyel? Chosen, where are you--?!
[...the sense of his bond being restored comes with the voice, hitting him with enough force to drive the breath out of him; Yfandes isn't wasting any time.]

1: flinging himself, crying, onto a horse, in the middle of the night, outside the apartments? THAT'S weird; or
2: at the farm in the morning, where you've probably seen him before, except looking considerably more chipper and staying close to this fancy white horse at like all times]

I'm gonna take a wild shot and say that horse's got something to do with why you're looking happier than a pig in a mud puddle today.

OPTION 1
You've got to be kidding me.
But these numbers don't joke.
And there's a 98.53234% probability that those are fucking horse sounds originating from your mic.
Is that a horse?
Do you totally have a horse over there?
Van, that question was rhetorical.
I know you have a horse over there Van.
I can hear her despite your impressive attempts to muffle her soft appeasing whinnies with your gross sobbing.

gives him the courtesy of not pretending that Vanyel hasn't clearly filled him in on how Companions work, at the very least, even if Bards in general are kind of hit and miss with how much they understand about that relationship. looks him full in the eye with a slight, sober nod, stance square and attentive! probably a sunbeam illuminates her at that moment like they do.]

Dave Strider has never seen a real horse in his life so he kind of just leans on the fence, squinting at her, bemused. Talking to himself]
Goddam, I almost feel my maidenly virtue coming back to me looking at such a pure and majestic creature. Dirk would be shitting himself.
