WHAT in person
WHERE the farm, though feel free to have encountered the GHOST HORSE
WHEN Night 3/Day 4 morning
NOTES ADVENT OF THE GHOST HORSE and/or MILD MANNERED PETTING ZOO ARRIVAL! (open/see below)
[anyone out wandering past Day 3's midnight (definitely doing something productive and not trying to find munchies or stagger home drunk) who happened to skirt too close to the wide-open spaces near the lake or woods might have gotten the fright of their lives last night. a dim, pale shape resolved in the distance, accompanied by an inexplicable ringing sound. if they were unlucky enough to be standing in the wrong spot, the chiming got louder and louder, and before they quite realized what was happening some kind of huge ghostly creature had swept past with desperate speed, an invisible force pushing anyone in the way off their feet to safety. A VERY SCARY GHOST!
a single resident of Quiet Mounds alone heard something else in this period: a familiar noise in his head.]
[...there's no explanation for the Ghost Animal Mystery if that just so happened to scare you last night. but if you arrive at the farm anytime past early morning Day 4, a beautiful white horse now seems to be part of the petting zoo. she's eating her hay in the field peacefully, barely flicking an ear at you; well, it's not like horses take a lot of notice of humans normally. or talk.]
((Notes: anyone can feel free to handwave Yfandes scaring you on Night 3, she wasn't paying attention to who she almost ran over! GHOST HOOOORSE. I'll play out her nearly running you over if you really want to and comment to that effect. otherwise, please check my stats and link me to your own/let me know anything you want her to be able to sense from your character! thanks guys ♥))

:I've missed him too; I feel terribly that it took me so long to follow him. I would feel worse if I had any idea of what I had done to get here, in the end.
If I may ask, do you know any more than we do of this place?:
no subject
[ a slight shrug. ]
Not much at all. I did not make it a habit to spend time in human realms, and most of this technology is foreign to me.

It's somewhat frustrating.

[her voice is tart with unvoiced irritation at said creator. presumably, she'd like to give them an earful.]
:As for being made for human use, you have my sympathy. We're enjoined to stay close to our Chosen, so I'm accustomed to the situation, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have its frustrating moments.:

I have been observing well enough, however. I am here, and so I must adapt.

...if there is any way we could make the situation more convenient for you, let us know, I suppose? Vanyel would not mind adjusting things with his magic, I am sure, though the power of this place is strange. We'll be trying to find our way back to Valdemar, but I'll admit that thus far we've no idea where to start.:

I will say I am not all that confident in anyone's escape from this place so soon or so easily, especially considering that some have evidently been here for a very, very long time.

:Consider it a gesture of hoped-for friendship, not charity; but indeed, I'm sure you'll make any accomodations you wish. I had no desire to offend.:
[and with more concern]
:Vanyel hadn't mentioned that. How long a span are we speaking of?:
no subject
[ i just always look offended. ]
I do not know. But I have no sense of this realm being any sort of new except to those who only just arrived-- things here are long established.

:I suppose keeping an ear to the ground would not hurt. I would like to know how long it is the longest residents have been here...:

You'll have to forgive my initial confusion. The only creatures even vaguely shaped like horses in my realm with your amount of power are called qilin.

You'll have to forgive me as well... you're certainly not a Power with which I'm familiar.:

[curiously]
:How many realms are you familiar with?:
no subject
Here? At least three or four other existences. I am sure each individual's realm is different from the next.
