WHEN Night 3/Day 4 morning
NOTES ADVENT OF THE GHOST HORSE and/or MILD MANNERED PETTING ZOO ARRIVAL! (open/see below)

[anyone out wandering past Day 3's midnight (definitely doing something productive and not trying to find munchies or stagger home drunk) who happened to skirt too close to the wide-open spaces near the lake or woods might have gotten the fright of their lives last night. a dim, pale shape resolved in the distance, accompanied by an inexplicable ringing sound. if they were unlucky enough to be standing in the wrong spot, the chiming got louder and louder, and before they quite realized what was happening some kind of huge ghostly creature had swept past with desperate speed, an invisible force pushing anyone in the way off their feet to safety. A VERY SCARY GHOST!

a single resident of Quiet Mounds alone heard something else in this period: a familiar noise in his head.]

[...there's no explanation for the Ghost Animal Mystery if that just so happened to scare you last night. but if you arrive at the farm anytime past early morning Day 4, a beautiful white horse now seems to be part of the petting zoo. she's eating her hay in the field peacefully, barely flicking an ear at you; well, it's not like horses take a lot of notice of humans normally. or talk.]

((Notes: anyone can feel free to handwave Yfandes scaring you on Night 3, she wasn't paying attention to who she almost ran over! GHOST HOOOORSE. [Vanyel on the other hand is hopefully in bed sleeping or something sensible after trying to CATCH HIS DEATH IN THE RAIN the night before, but wherever he is, he's jerked out of sleep or concentration on his task by a sudden, frantic voice in his head.]

[luckily the elevator trip got her enough time to triangulate on that Mindspeech and get the rest of the way to the apartments; also, you wearing clothes and not being outside in the rain is an improvement on our first meeting like this, young man. they probably sort of crash into each other a bit, Yfandes nearly inside the building in her eagerness to crowd up to him.]

[her mental voice is much firmer and less incoherent than his, but she's nuzzling at his hair and shoulders with just as much relif, neck curved jealously around him and eyes dark with worry]

[It's morning. Standing at the fence, Tsuzuki digs through his pocket for a sugar cube and holds it out when he finds one.]

[petting her nose, pressing his face back against hers, definitely crying and smiling at the same time, hands shaking]

Young man runs up to horse. Then gently approaches horse.]

[...she's trying not to react overtly to him like not-a-horse, but she's definitely eyeing him sidelong, grazing in a wide semicircle around him with him as the focus point in the way that prey animals do when they're keeping watch on something.]

[raises her head with a snort and pricks her ears forward at him, then ambles forward amiably, one eye on him and one eye on the sugar. her hooves sound just a little odd, but their chime is mostly muffled on the soft earth.]
