WHAT in person
WHERE the farm, though feel free to have encountered the GHOST HORSE
WHEN Night 3/Day 4 morning
NOTES ADVENT OF THE GHOST HORSE and/or MILD MANNERED PETTING ZOO ARRIVAL! (open/see below)
[anyone out wandering past Day 3's midnight (definitely doing something productive and not trying to find munchies or stagger home drunk) who happened to skirt too close to the wide-open spaces near the lake or woods might have gotten the fright of their lives last night. a dim, pale shape resolved in the distance, accompanied by an inexplicable ringing sound. if they were unlucky enough to be standing in the wrong spot, the chiming got louder and louder, and before they quite realized what was happening some kind of huge ghostly creature had swept past with desperate speed, an invisible force pushing anyone in the way off their feet to safety. A VERY SCARY GHOST!
a single resident of Quiet Mounds alone heard something else in this period: a familiar noise in his head.]
[...there's no explanation for the Ghost Animal Mystery if that just so happened to scare you last night. but if you arrive at the farm anytime past early morning Day 4, a beautiful white horse now seems to be part of the petting zoo. she's eating her hay in the field peacefully, barely flicking an ear at you; well, it's not like horses take a lot of notice of humans normally. or talk.]
((Notes: anyone can feel free to handwave Yfandes scaring you on Night 3, she wasn't paying attention to who she almost ran over! GHOST HOOOORSE. I'll play out her nearly running you over if you really want to and comment to that effect. otherwise, please check my stats and link me to your own/let me know anything you want her to be able to sense from your character! thanks guys ♥))

[a long pause suddenly. his brows furrow, mind clouding with deep uncertainty]
:. . . 'Fandes, he's even younger than I am right now . . .:

:I do see what you mean. You would have had to have a very passionate relationship in the time you had together, for him to react like this.:
no subject
:And even then, I should definitely be of secondary concern. He lost his lifedbonded very recently, they said.:
no subject
:Could it be that you were helping him to recover from the loss of his lifebonded?:
no subject
[a long pause. growing . . . dread?]
:He also said . . . after his lifebonded died, he waited for a bit, then—went off somewhere to try to die. He mentioned Medren. He said "I feel really guilty toward him. I know he was worried about it but I did it anyway.":
:He didn't mention me.:
no subject
:It's possible that he didn't want to tell you anything about your future self. Would that make sense? I asked him to tell me about his past with us, but he wouldn't... he said he didn't want to hurt us.:

:...it does sound like a place where mentioning "you and Medren" would have made more sense, if you were there.:

:It's not necessarily remarkable that he's met Treesa if he's friends with Medren. But truly, that first is something that threw me off balance quite a bit, my dear. It's strange enough to be in a place full of spirits and nonhumans like the dyheli to speak to. I don't think fifteen years would have changed the way we prefer to go through our Chosen.
I didn't doubt his sincerity - you should have seen his face! But I can't imagine how that happened.:

[he sighs, exhausted by this, pressing his face against Yfandes again]
:Is it alright for me to know? Everything is already so out of control that I can't imagine knowing more or less about this potential future would mess things up more.:
no subject
:I would rather know, myself! But I do understand Stefen's worries. I can't imagine that he or Medren has any experience with this sort of situation. There aren't many Foresighted Bards.:
[slight hesitation, then]
:I told him... if he wanted to tell me anything first, I could try to advise him on whether you should know, or how to tell you. Is that all right, Chosen? I thought it would be, with him so concerned...:
no subject
:I don't mind that. However . . . it puts you in the position of trying to figure out what to hide from me. I don't know if I like that sort of situation.:
no subject
:I don't necessarily like it either, but it's doable.:

no subject
[a little troubled]
:I suppose he could tell me something that changed my mind about that, but I don't know what it could be.:
no subject
:We can't tell what outcome it would have in the grand scheme of things, no. There's no use trying not to learn things just because it might affect my judgement later. We're already totally off the map, there. All that I think we're looking at is—how it might impact my relationship with them. Isn't that right? I might try to be putting myself into a mold I'm not suited to, rather than just getting to know them as they are. As I am.:
no subject
:That is a real risk. You've worried about what role you would play in the future before... what people would expect from you. Do you think that those worries were borne out?:
no subject
no subject
:I think I agree. You're trying to fill things in for each other already, aren't you?:
