[ it sure is convenient just getting a cell phone handed to you when you move in, right? modern technology is great. a bunch of you have probably made some attempt to learn how the thing works (if you didn't know already) and have made all sorts of friends you keep in touch with, so the sound of an incoming text message shouldn't be all that surprising... except a quick glance shows it's from a number you don't recognize at all. huh?!

as for the people who haven't bothered messing with it at all... well, sucks to be you! those of you in that category had better learn at least how to silence it, and fast. there are a lot of texts coming in, for some reason... ]

[Dave's apartment is lived-in but pretty clean. There are a couple video game consoles hooked up to the TV, books on the table (sheet music for piano, a medical textbook). A few dvd cases, all romcoms, some troll romcoms.]

It's technically in everyone's brains. But there are individuals whose own cognition is so strong that they have what's called a 'Palace'.
