WHAT IN PERSON
WHERE the street!
WHEN day 17, AT NIGHT
[ hey everyone -- since it was HOT and then RAINED now we have steamy night time streets, oh boy. While the humidity is awful, and the heat is back at least there is a NIGHT MARKET which is kind of cool. It has little knick knacks and prizes you can win -- goldfish, stuffed animals, so forth and so on -- as well as food, chicken on a stick, shaved ice, so forth and so on.
Have fun! Wander around! Hang out with people and win prizes!
Or, check out the FREE fortune telling machine. All you have to do is stand in front of it. . . and it will announce, rather loudly, some secret of yours. Or many secrets. Depending on how fast you get out of its line of sight.
. . . if you try to harm, destroy or mute the machine in any way you will be grabbed by security and forcibly put in time out for a little while and get a slap on the wrists. Destruction of private property is frowned upon. ]

[He sounds a little like a text book, intentionally]
Anything too far from the primary piece will simply be rebuilt out of IBM.
no subject
How far is "too far"? And what happens to the parts that are too far to return?
no subject
Nothing special happens to the pieces that don't return. It's just like any other spilled blood or severed limb.

I can see why the government would take an interest in you, then.
no subject
It doesn't prevent or reverse aging, and hypothetically the only thing that can kill a demi-human is 'old age', though that's only going off of reports out of India.
The government never found out about me. But you can see why I wanted to keep it that way.

What about pain. Do you feel it normally? Do you have an instinctive death-aversion, like most humans? Or is that missing as well?
no subject
I'm not the best measurement of instinctive death-aversion to begin with, and demi-humans can certainly overcome it, in any case. We still feel pain, but that can also be adapted to. It's hard to determine if the adaption is an inhuman ability or not. Obviously a human can't repeatedly lose the same limb to the point that they no longer flinch when it happens.
But if I had to guess... given the things I've seen them do, demi-humans quickly develop an inhuman pain tolerance.

Then grumbles.]
If you torture me I'll never say a single word to you again, for as long as we're stuck here.

Of course. What rules, then?

Second. You can't eat my head or detach it from my torso.

What about otherwise destroying any part of the brain, or severing the spine internally without full decapitation?
no subject
no subject
Have you ever done it before? Regrown your own brain, I mean.

And I don't want to hear about how it's an illogical paranoia. I won't forgive you if you do it.
