[If anyone's looking for your resident drunken cowboy, he's hanging out by the farm on his break. He's perched up on a fence a decent distance away from the barn and the animals, lazily smoking a cigarillo.]

[This whole farm thing isn't normally Tammy's scene, but the food is so darn good comparing to the sci-fi algae paste she eats much of the time that she makes a habit of stopping by. She smiles at his outfit, a funny gesture from a woman seemingly dressed as a classic flapper.]

[ today is definitely a Work Day Afternoon, seeing as Kaiko has probably taken like two days off for personal emergencies in the past week.

(look, sometimes a friend gets really sick in the middle of your workplace and you have to get him home. sometimes the love of your short life comes back from the dead and you have to spend the next day trying to convince yourself that he isn't going to disappear the moment you look away. these things happen, is what I'm saying.)

however, lunch breaks are in fact gloriously a thing, and so Kaiko is spending hers in the park. she's working her way through what looks like one of Heavenly Grounds largest drink sizes and humming along with her phone, which is currently playing something twangy at what is hopefully a low enough volume not to disturb anyone nearby...?



alternately, maybe you've stopped in at the library before or after her break— or maybe you've spotted the little copper offering bowl sitting in the park and decided to investigate. ]

[Alberich is using his time off work to actually check out the coffee shops, since they seem to be considered such important centers of culture here. The whole thing still seems...odd, to him, to say the least. It's just weirdly too much - both the drinks themselves and how people treat them.

This "chai tea latte" isn't all that bad, though.]
