[ it sure is convenient just getting a cell phone handed to you when you move in, right? modern technology is great. a bunch of you have probably made some attempt to learn how the thing works (if you didn't know already) and have made all sorts of friends you keep in touch with, so the sound of an incoming text message shouldn't be all that surprising... except a quick glance shows it's from a number you don't recognize at all. huh?!

as for the people who haven't bothered messing with it at all... well, sucks to be you! those of you in that category had better learn at least how to silence it, and fast. there are a lot of texts coming in, for some reason... ]

My life as a human ended long ago. This body is a construct of magecraft, to put things simply, and requires energy to maintain. Normally I would make contract with a mage and their power would sustain me; absent that opportunity, I use a mixture of my own magecraft to gather energy and stimulants to substitute for it.
