It's a good question, but I'm not a law scholar, so I don't have a good answer for you. It just depends on the philosophy of the Hive. Buying or selling sex is illegal for a Cousin, legal for a Humanist, and might not be legislated at all for a Utopian. Humanists are for sure the most permissive; Cousins and Masons are on the opposite side of the scale, Utopia and Gordian are weird, and everyone else falls somewhere in between.
