WHAT in person
WHERE in the park
WHEN 61, daylight hours

[WHO LIKES SCRAP-BOOKING.

Hopefully you, because there are a lot of park tables out today, and they are covered with colorful paper, safety scissors, ribbon, and large binders.

And also Polaroid(TM) cameras.

The implication might be that you should take a picture of your friends and make some memories, sure that MIGHT work, but most likely what will happen is when you hold it up to your face the camera will replay your memories and you can click the shutter as many times as you want to capture that moment forever on film.

Of course, what memories you see is a bit... up in the air. Some cameras seem to faithfully play whatever you have on mind, others have a more specific focus: sexy memories, traumatic memories, humiliating memories... These independently minded/POSSESSED cameras are also likely to print photos regardless of anyone else's opinion on the matter.

The photos THEMSELVES appear to be pretty normal, at least.

Also, it's still fall, the wind is still a bit blustery. Make sure nothing embarrassing flies off.]

[ her perpetual aura of static goes two ways, so her hair sticks to his hand. and up in general. DIGNITY ]

If you say so! I've had a lot of help.
ghostfromthemachine: (unless you do this with me)

Mm— well, what goes around comes around, usually.

...anyway... I think I'll give one of those cameras a try, too. It would be pretty nice to have pictures from home.
ghostfromthemachine: (I can't breathe)

[ offering him the one she was using ]

..It was kind to give us the opportunity.

[takes it, peering through]

A bit exposing, but... yeah.
ghostfromthemachine: (it took a crane all day)

[personal profile] ghostfromthemachine 2017-11-03 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
[ dry ]

Well, it couldn't be entirely without strings.

[ gonna look around for another camera to snag ]

It never is!

[taking quite a few pictures]
ghostfromthemachine: (I'm the first to know—)

[personal profile] ghostfromthemachine 2017-11-04 06:04 am (UTC)(link)
[ her turn to try not to blatantly peek! snagging another camera and lining up her own shot instead ]

...mm... while we're at this, do you want to trade?

mindinthegittern: (008)

[personal profile] mindinthegittern 2017-11-07 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Sure.

[he offers out the most recent picture, a group of women sewing in a medieval-ish looking solar, a much younger Medren providing background music, apparently]
ghostfromthemachine: (200 2)

[personal profile] ghostfromthemachine 2017-11-10 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, wow.

[ hello obvious time period differences, hello SMALL MEDREN ]
mindinthegittern: (025)

[personal profile] mindinthegittern 2017-11-10 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
[one of the women recognizably has the same eyes as Medren, too]

That's where I grew up.
ghostfromthemachine: (you will be fine.)

[personal profile] ghostfromthemachine 2017-11-10 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
[ noting that, a little wistful. looking like your relatives must be nice ]

Mm. I knew you came from sort of a different time period, among other things, but it's one thing knowing that and another seeing you in it...

...is that a relative of yours?
mindinthegittern: (018)

[personal profile] mindinthegittern 2017-11-10 07:58 am (UTC)(link)
That's my mother.

You look like her.
