[ The weather has calmed down and it's actually a nice temperature with a slight breeze -- someone has set up a beer garden in the park! There's beer, cider and mead from kegs -- and no one is checking ID.

There's also a variety of food -- mostly typical bbq stuff, hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled corn and so forth but there is also probably something very particular and nostalgic from your childhood or past on the buffet tables. Maybe it's something like a particular brand of military rations, a space fruit that only grows on Mars, whatever.

What's interesting to me is that that his place has been around as long as it has, but still has no leader or government. Fights might start up, but probably it would eventually calm down again. There isn't really anything to fight over long term, here.

It's not like Tekkadan is out to be a security company again, exactly. Though we'll always be able to help with that if needed, and if people want to stir something up, I don't mind discouraging that. But there isn't really enough of a need to plan around it.

I never had the option to forget about mortality, but I'll take your word for it. People don't like to hear about kids dying or killing, either. I guess in more peaceful places everyone would rather not think about it.
