Do you suppose the rules of friendship were changed recently to include only strictly businesslike favour transactions? Or is it just that we seem like suspicious folks ourselves?

We are pretty suspicious, Medren. But I can understand the concern. If two roguish bards claimed close friendship to me because they said they were from the future it'd probably be some extreme pressure, unless they had a clear look at who I was now. Maybe something about seeing my kindness and determination, and willingness to overcome the strangeness of the situation, and generosity if I brought them food and tried to think of what their tastes would be like...
