WHAT in person
WHERE Out By The Woods
WHEN Day 13??? one day a post seems to be working ok
[Eventually this business will probably move down into the fight ring, but this is a TEST and maybe a bit of MARKETING. So it's taking place out of the way but still in a pretty visible area.
On display we have ONE (1) ten (10) foot tall Gundam, and probably a short boy attached to it by a black umbilical cord.
There are also TWO (2) iron men suits, on loan from Heavenly Grounds.
There's probably various other people around.
And then there's this purple haired guy, who if he catches you looking over with any kind of interest at what is going on, will wave you over.]
Yo! Morning. You want to try one?

Making a sport of it? [ It's not judgemental, though. ] The person who made these, that's the one you mentioned before?

[Hmmm, no, trails off, like maybe he isn't sure how to finish that thought. Better to move onto the safer topic instead.]
Yeah. Stark. He's incredible. I talked to him about the portable alaya-vijnana and he thinks it would be doable. Though... he also asked that I find out whatever I can from you.

[ IS HOPE LOST FOREVER— ]
But if I can find Kimaris, he'll be able to look at a working version of it himself.
[ ha ha ha that is the closest he's come to telling anyone yet. ]

You had one on board...?
no subject
You're giving me a way to get something I want, so I'll return the favour. How do I get in?
no subject
Still, if he's been paralyzed this entire time and Orga has no idea, that's a pretty impressive proof of the technology.
He taps the front of the suit, and it sort of peels away so that he can step inside.]
The AI is named Friday. She's pretty clever, can answer any questions. I don't know if Stark has any tech on board that might detect ahab reactors, but if there is she'll know.
no subject
[ Friday. Well, sounds legit. It's not Ein, but it works.
he steps inside and... it's a little claustrophobic, though it's not like a Gundam cockpit is spacious. ]
I'll be back with it soon.

Palms out to take off.
[Show him with arms at his sides, palms toward the ground.]
Good luck.

And, with some wobbling, there's liftoff. It's weird, but easily reactive enough that he gets the hang of it pretty quickly. Enough to do what he needs to, which is float in the sky and look back down at Orga once before... vanishing with that really expensive suit, presumably.
Give him an hour, okay. ]
no subject
Or like, at least there are a number of reasons stealing the expensive suit wouldn't work.
plus.... he trusts you.
Orga will continue doting on anyone who wants to get in a robot suit or fight his tiny.]

Anyway, an hour and a half passes.
And he returns, landing a little harder than he would have liked, and popping out with a tiny stumble, but otherwise A-OK. ]
That's... [ an experience. ] Thank you.
no subject
Welcome back. Pretty nice, aren't they? Find what you were looking for?
no subject
[ He thought he'd return this to you first, though. ]
This technology goes beyond anything Gjallarhorn has. Even the AI was more responsive than I expected.
[ Like, he loves Ein a lot and all, but Ein doesn't really converse with him anymore aside from possessing his limbs and fighting. Not that he would trade, but— ]

Aah, I thought so. Stark is supposed to be from way in our past, though. They haven't even started terraforming Mars. I guess it was lost.
no subject
It's possible. [ look at the mobile armour...... ] Or we never had a need for a design like this. Gjallarhorn could be withholding those details.
[ Says a member of Gjallarhorn, casually. ]
no subject
Aa, I guess that's true. It would be a useful thing to keep buried. Even moreso than the alaya-vijnana.
[this look is pointed]

You experienced firsthand how delicate Gjallarhorn's control really was. They were afraid, and have been for centuries. It's an outdated belief.

[ A shrug. ]
no subject
[This is genuinely news to him. Gjallarhorn's entire existence had never exactly spoken of 'safety' to him to begin with, so he'd hardly bothered to listen in on propaganda once he had the means. ]
Somehow it never felt that way from where I was.
[dry, but not bitter]

I visited Mars two years ago. That's when McGillis and I met your pilot. [ and he strangled me??? ] We were there to audit the Martian branch of Gjallarhorn, who were under suspicion of corruption. The farther out from Earth, the worse they acted... but the ones on Earth could be just as bad.
no subject
Aa, I was told once, as you get closer to the Earth Sphere you have to actually obey the laws. It made me realize how little we thought of them back home.
Though, this all started because Gjallarhorn didn't want a Martian citizen speaking out about people starving back home, and they didn't get any less interested in killing us to stop her the closer we got to Earth.
no subject
"You actually have to obey the laws" okay. He says that so naturally?? Buddy. That sounds bad. ]
There were reasons, but whether or not they were sound isn't something I know. [ His own reasons were highly personal, and in retrospect, stupid. The only one he'd keep is for Ein. ] Or care about, now. They're just excuses for trusting in the wrong people, or for having bruised pride, or for being afraid of "demons."
no subject
[Kind of snorts. He's amused? Charmed? By Gaelio's response.]
Afraid of demons, hm?
Gjallarhorn's reasons were always about power, that much was obvious, to us at least. And I guess it was sound enough, in the end we shook that foundation a bit.
no subject
[ It's said lightly, distantly, but also clearly like that's an understatement. he turns, facing the suit he'd stepped out of. ]
Good luck with these.
