Celine was like, fucking ubiquitous when I was a kid. Just one of those things that I'm only now noticing. It wasn't like she was a feature of my life, personally but just about every damn time you walked into anyplace catering to the middle class crowd there was Celine talkin' about the unwavering persistence of her pump biscuit.

he does feel a sort of steadying presence in her company; she's not really intentionally trying to use Empathy, but she's relaxed enough around him that she's not hiding that a big part of her life is being a sort of emotional heat sink]

[Obviously he's just calm because Yfandes is great. His body language is a lot looser and less self-conscious, leaning against the fence.]

I got some recs for you if you like this sort of thing but honestly should should experience these kinda tunes in their original cinematic environment.

Dave can and absolutely does sit through 3 hours and 15 minutes of Titanic with running commentary, mostly about romantic tropes and quadrant fluctuations and sick burns on dead actors]

So on Earth this is considered a tragic love story due to class differences and the hubris of mankind but troll-wise the moral of the story is don't go on a cruise without a fucking auspistice.
