[The rain has cleared, but it appears to have left some people with a case of the sniffles! The magic sniffles. Even if you've never been sick a day in your life, you might not find yourself immune. Then again, maybe you have a terrible immune system and you're fine. I'm not the magic sniffles police.

Symptoms May Include:

- runny nose
- sore throat
- fever
- thinking you're going to cough or sneeze but actually what comes out is A BURST OF THE TRUTH
- waking up in someone else's bed
- joint aches

At least the sketchy pop-up pharmacy at the mall has a special on tissues and nyquil?]

[ Snorts... which is a mistake as this time he does have to shakily reach for the tissues this time and kind of half roll to do this properly. ]

[ Except as soon as she walks off he's trying to roll back off the bed to head back to the portal so he can try again--sadly he's weaker than he thinks and just falls onto the floor. ]

[she comes back when she hears the thud]

[ He half laughs, half gives a pathetic sniffle at that. ]

[ IS THIS REALLY THE TIME... ]

[ He just looks confused by what she's doing tbh. ]

It's fine, the cloak will-- [ Except said cloak just shakes its collar side to side as if to say "nope". ]

The cloak seems fully in agreement that it's time for you to rest, so you may as well do it on the bed.

[ His head just thunks back against the floor. ]

A magical common cold. Somehow.

Honestly, if you're determined to ride it out on the floor, go ahead.

[ He sneezes again. ]

While it may be physically more uncomfortable, it is less uncomfortable than the knowledge I have no idea whose bed that is.

[ He pauses. ]

I never thought I'd say this, but please tell me it's your brother's bed and not yours.

[ I mean accidents of wandering into the wrong bedroom happen, but then there's also this. ]

It's mine, but what's the problem if I'm not in it?

[ He just gives her a look as if to say "are you kidding?" ]

I thought you were a practical person.

[ Sneezes. ]

I'm not exactly able to think logically at present.

[ That, he didn't mean to admit to tbh. ]

[ok well. if he's going to stubbornly stay on the floor, she's giving him a pillow and blanket at least]

[ Well trying to move again probably won't be the best idea anyway. ]

[ He'll take the pillow though, just because that would be nice right now. ]

she will come back in a bit with tea for him, though.]

she'll find he's managed to close off the portal while out of it though there probably is some dirt and leaves on the floor from outside in his attempts...

This time he'll be completely passed out when she gets back though. ]

[well. she leaves him the tea on a little heating coaster that will keep it at a drinkable temperature and goes to work in her lab. she'll check on him remotely every little while to make sure he's not dead or wandering around delirious]
