[The rain has cleared, but it appears to have left some people with a case of the sniffles! The magic sniffles. Even if you've never been sick a day in your life, you might not find yourself immune. Then again, maybe you have a terrible immune system and you're fine. I'm not the magic sniffles police.

Symptoms May Include:

- runny nose
- sore throat
- fever
- thinking you're going to cough or sneeze but actually what comes out is A BURST OF THE TRUTH
- waking up in someone else's bed
- joint aches

At least the sketchy pop-up pharmacy at the mall has a special on tissues and nyquil?]

[basically the one good thing about being Bucky historically has been not catching cold or having allergies

it's been a long time since she woke up achy and sniffly

at first, she doesn't even realize whose bed she's in]

[it's the bed of your favourite king, who has also not been sick in recent memory, and who is very cranky and only half-aware of what's going on and maybe snoring little sad kitten snores]

pressing her face in his pillow and groaning. this is not a good reason to be in her favorite king's bed]

[is the situation going to be made better or worse if he makes a fussy noise and rolls over, draping his arm over her and shivering? also:]

No, sorry... [blurrily, trying to get up?

not getting up. his arm is too heavy and her head spins a little. laying back down]

[lifting his head up enough to register who it is. after a moment he gets a dumb, if weak and distracted, smile]

[rolls over sleepily, draping an arm around—]

[he abruptly jolts back and sits upright]

[groans softly. who ever heard of a super soldier with a fever? not right at all...

wait.

squinting at him:] What the hell...?

Oh. Um. Good morning . . .

Are you okay?

[coldhand]

[a pause. well]

Morning.

[then a long, thoughtful pause, followed by a sniffle]

I don’t think I am.

[divasterous]

Just—just lie back down? Is there anything I can get you?

[coldhand]

[yes, okay, laying back down]

How’d I get here though...?

[rubbing her forehead]

I can’t have a fever...

[motherloving]

[ she will probably notice the little tortoiseshell cat with angel wings curled up between her and the nearly-naked young man next to her before she notices Juliet himself, but hey, who knows. ]

[coldhand]

[definitely the cat first. it gets a perplexed look] Huh.

[motherloving]

[ the cat fluffs her wings a bit and peers curiously at Bucky.

Juliet stirs a little and reaches out sleepily to pet the cat. ]

[starting when where she is really sinks in, half sitting up before feverish head spinning knocks her back to her elbow]

[motherloving]

[ he yawns and, still half-asleep, opens his eyes a little ]

Mmm?

[ he seems more mildly confused than actually very startled or bothered at all ]

I... [she looks confused. She also looks sick, pale and clammy] I don’t think this is where I fell asleep.

[peeking into the room at some point to check on T'Challa, and—]

Uh... morning? [she sounds a mess. hoarse and congested. not fair]

Sounds like you're doing better than the rest of us at least.

So far. A cold must be as rare for you as it is for T'Challa, yes?

[raking her hair back out of her face]
