[A very unusual-looking cutie is standing in the foyer of the Tidy Living apartments today. You definitely haven't seen them before. They are repeatedly pressing the elevator button, then jumping when it opens]

But I don't get it... I know the ding means get in, but who's opening and closing the doors...? Is someone here raising and lowering it? Ahh, and when I went upstairs, it was completely incomprehensible...

Now if I weren't looking straight at you I wouldn't take that literally, but you do quite literally seem to be a diamond.

Ah, well. They're short, furry little creatures. Adorable, really, if you like that sort of thing.

Oh! I fought something like that once! Well, it was enormous, not short, and then because I was broken after the fight, I didn't see it, but I heard when it was cut apart, it turned into a lot of short furry little creatures that said 'wan wan'. Red Beryl made toys of them so I could see it.

Well, at least half of that sounds like something approximating a dog. Now you can understand the logic, of how it would be confusing, if all of those little creatures were given the exact same name -- hmm? Say one was yours, personally, but you just said "Dog" and they call came running.

That's why I go by Dia.

Ah, there's also Yellow and Bort. Though they're different sorts of diamonds.

Just as humans all have different names, then.

Well, Yellow Diamond is a yellow diamond, and Bort is a bort... I think if there were a double of us, we'd just use the same name? There aren't so many of us it'd be confusing if we shared...

You wouldn't be bothered, having another of you running around with your exact name?

Why would that be bothersome...? We'd just make sure there were different ways for people to know who we were talking about.
