[Okay, we've actually been doing that, yeah. Quiet Mounds is still a bit unpredictable, with the seasons and the clocks a little haywire. Today, there's another little pulse of magic. Maybe some of you find yourself back to normal? Or maybe more people are suddenly the wrong age or timeline. Maybe Deadpool shows up. I don't know.]

You know, I grew up just—daydreaming and desperately wishing for a fairytale romance. For someone to just sweep me off my feet. All sorts of dreams and plans and expectations, scenarios that I'd play again and again.

Fiero mentioned something like that.

Yeah. So you know—this has all been incredibly important to me, but really hard to just . . . I don't know. I really just blurted it out. That I loved you. And then, that I wanted to marry you. Too impatient.

[traces his free hand along Vasily's jaw, watching him]

It's what was in your heart, wasn't it?

Right. I felt it and I was just too scared to let the moment get away. Like maybe if I didn't hold onto you I'd miss my chance.

There's nothing wrong with that. With taking a chance for what you want.

I know. I guess what I'm saying is—I don't need for it to be a certain way for it to be what I wanted. I'm happy just to have you. And to show you I love you in a hundred little ways every day.

And if you want to hold onto that ring until you're—until you're ready, to think about things, about how you want us to fit together and everything, please do. I'm less afraid now.

[smiles, soft, shaking his head a little]

I wasn't trying to really hide it from you or anything like that. I've been ready since you asked. It just seemed like it felt right for you to have that. Since you had the courage to ask first, since it was what was in your heart, I didn't want to take it away from you.
