[Okay, we've actually been doing that, yeah. Quiet Mounds is still a bit unpredictable, with the seasons and the clocks a little haywire. Today, there's another little pulse of magic. Maybe some of you find yourself back to normal? Or maybe more people are suddenly the wrong age or timeline. Maybe Deadpool shows up. I don't know.]

[squeezes his hand]

[his expression sobers, the smile dropping off it. it goes totally blank for a moment, before he manages a faint smile, brows creased]

[squeezes his hand and presses the elevator button. Leans real close to Vasily while they're in it]

[bends over and presses his face into Mikk's hair, huffing gently]

[lets out a startled squeak]

You're being very sweet to me. It's helping a lot.

[suddenly blushes, looking at him again]

[leads the way into the apartment]

Our friendship.

[goes and perches on the edge of the couch]

I'm just going to change clothes. I'll keep talking but I can't hear you if you say anything in response. Unless you come in, too. I don't mind.

[he goes into the bedroom]

What's it like . . .? Ah, when we first met, you basically taught me how to trust someone. I really hadn't had many friends before, and not . . . not in a long time. I'd been alone for a while.

[clears his throat, and speaks up. Kind of raspy and thin]

How to trust...

[oh, my heart. my darling. he kind of hurries up, yanking his clothes off]

Yes—I trust Mikk with everything I am.

He showed me kindness. Patience, understanding. Love. When I was frightened, he talked me through it. When I expressed fears, he helped me understand where they were coming from.

[is quiet in response to that]

[coming out of the room again. he's changed into a pair of flowy dark gold pants and a black tanktop, and is barefoot. his hands are bare, covered in pale scars]

I've been doing my best to be the same for him. Neither of us needs to be alone.

[quiet again] It sounds really nice. I can't imagine but I like it.
