I did spend some time as an instructor, but... at Quantico. I was an FBI agent, and a medical doctor.

Impressive. Either one would be, but together...

Together, they give me the background to be a schoolteacher for eternity, apparently.

Still not entirely convinced this isn't hell. You know that?

I think it's been made pretty clear that nobody who's been brought in so far can break out of here. But that doesn't convince me that this situation will actually be sustained forever. In the grand scheme of things, a handful of decades is no time at all.

That's my opinion as a scientist. From a personal perspective, thirty-five years of ageless small town life is forever, and still not long enough to make me a patient person.

I don't know that this conversation has been going on long enough for that to exactly come up one way or another.

That's the best place to start. Fair warning, I'm about eighty-five percent certain the head of the Modern Languages department isn't a real person, but he should be able to get a handle on your qualifications if you stick pretty close to the script.
