I'm gathering interest on the idea of a civilian run school, something where you can interact and learn from a real person instead of the NPCs here.
It probably wouldn't be a conventional school, but if you have skills you'd be willing to run a class on, or something you're interested in learning, talk about it here.
If it seems like it would be viable, I'll look into securing space at the school for classes. For now, if you decide you want to start holding classes, probably use a public space or your apartment.

I don't think I've got a lot of teachable skills but there are a lot of things I'm interested in. engineering maybe?
I'm good at helping with homework though ✨ and the library has a few study rooms that can be rented out

I can also hold basic spiritual safety courses and anti-scam courses of course

I like learning, but when it comes to the school here, I might as well just read it all.

But if you're fine with that, obviously I'm not going to stop you from learning from them.

All people are defined by their limits, after all. There are things they are capable of and things they are incapable of, things they know and things they don't know. To lack these things would be to lack an identity or personhood. So then, the only difference between a real person and and NPC is the scope. People and NPCs both have limits on both their development and their pool of knowledge, but there's some unspoken point, an invisible line. To fall short of that line means you're not a real person, but a drone. A simple program, deprived of the inherent dignity afforded to people.
I wonder if you might think of it as a spectrum, though. Like grades in a classroom. Anything below 60% is a failing grade, of course. But 90% is higher than 80% is higher than 70%, you know? Like one might increase their personhood by expanding beyond their limits.

In the same way, we are probably not more than simple lifeforms performing basic routines to whatever created this place. No different than bugs in a glass cage, dressed up with fake environmental props. It obviously has an interest in us, but just as obviously has power and scope beyond anything I will ever be able to conceptualize, much less compete with.
That's fine, honestly. There's always going to be a perspective broader than your own. Maybe ants and NPCs care about their own personhood as much as I care about mine.
But I still care about their personhood about as much as I would a simple computer program.

That's a somewhat surprising stance for a human to take, though, isn't it?
