[he tunes up the dreadnought and launches right into Fisherman's Blues, bright and exuberant and just a little wistful. he made up a cool finger-picking arrangement to go into the bridges since it's not actually primarily a guitar song, so fancy.]

[ooh very fancy. McCree seems to relax as he listens, settling in with a pleased grin]

Now ain't that new.

[DEFINITELY spent all of the choruses making over-the-top stupid comedic croony faces at McCree every time the "you in my arms" line came up, for the record]

Admittedly, I may have spent a good hour trapped on wikipedia and youtube getting an idea of what trains are before I actually did anything like learn the song.

Back home they got these hypertrains. Like the usual ones only helluva lot faster. Except it ain't too easy getting on one when you got a bounty on your head, so I jumped on.

What?! Please explain to me how you jump on something that moves that much faster than a person.

Just another town, trying to get clear of the law. Though some folks were fit to cause some trouble on the train I hopped so they got wind of where I was anyway.

Deserting at first. Then that turned to killing, stealing.

Was doing what I could to dispense some justice against the folks that took Overwatch down, but seemed like each time I stepped in to stop 'em I wound up taking the blame.

There's no way that wasn't on purpose, right?

That's what I figured. Seemed like they had their claws in the higher ups as well.

Suppose I could've avoided it by steering clear of their business, but seemed like I was finding them up to no good no matter where I went.
