WHAT EVER
WHERE School(s)! probably.
WHEN Day 50
[Today, Quite Mounds Schools for the Gifted is having its... once every so often-ish... SCIENCE Fair! You know this, because there are posters pinned up all over town. And by "posters" we mean, someone drew a beaker, badly, with a black marker, wrote the relevant details underneath it, and then photocopied it on green paper a hundred times. Come check it out. What, did you have something better to do today?
Participation is only mandatory for grades seven and below, but students in the higher grades or college courses have been encouraged to do projects as well. Do you have a table? Maybe! What's your project?
Up at the school, for the afternoon, the gymnasium is open to the public and is full of lemon-batteries, baking soda/vinegar volcanoes, and... some other more unique projects... although it seems that the head of the SCIENCE Department (yes it's always in all caps. no we don't know why.) has managed to put a stop to anything too super-villainous.
The Fair takes place in the afternoon, though, so maybe you're in your normally scheduled morning classes. Maybe you're loitering in the hallways. Maybe you're playing poker for M&Ms in one of the empty classrooms on your lunch break. Maybe you're smoking behind the bike shed. Maybe you're at track practice!
Maybe you're not at the school at all and you're using this as a mingle post. That's fine too.]

[like. in general. because he's worse than trash? obviously?]
Which is fair enough, I guess.

[pet pet]
Maybe you should try asking, sometime.

So the reason he's mad probably isn't 'Dazai being Dazai'.
no subject
[aka "shitty". obviously.]

[I mean. It IS shitty.]
How did he take it?
no subject
[it's. stupid?
especially when Dazai was trying to make the case that Dazai is the most pathetic one.
but also all those things weren't wrong either and this is why he shouldn't have friends, okok]

gives up trying to explain or guess because it all just makes him feel more stupid and irrational and he hates it.]

Shhhh.

...I was talking to my friend from another timeline the other day. And he told me something about Mika I'd never realized.
So, I've been thinking about that, and your friend. And how close two people can be without even really knowing what moves them.

[pretty sure he finally successfully deterred a Chuuya from ever dealing with him again so. saddest lolol]

[slow pets]
I don't think that's true, and I don't think your situation's impossible. You won't always only hurt each other, and...
[Pause, no, maybe he won't say that last part.]
But also, I don't think you want to hear it. So we don't need to talk about it right now, if you don't want.

[and he thought that was a great thing until critical thinking is suddenly difficult especially when trying to analyze what he did wrong this time.]
... I mean, I can think. Just not how I'm used to thinking--you know what I mean!
[EVERYTHING IS FRUSTRATING?]

Aa, I don't quite get it. But you're working with different hardware, right?
[pauses petting to knock him lightly on the head]
Probably that fight would have gone a bit differently if you'd both been in your own bodies.

[... ok, he probably wouldn't but also he'd have the superior strength instead.]

[because he's awful and deserved it, is the point.
more face burial going on because everything sucks.]
