The last time I talked to Mori-san, when he gave me the assignment to track down Sakaguchi Ango ... he indirectly laid out his whole plan to me. I didn't understand why he was bringing all these things up, that I couldn't connect to the current situation, and figured it was just the B— Mori-san being eccentric.

After Dazai told me ... most of the details, here, I realized what he was doing. He was taunting me, maybe. That's the only reason I can think of.

I'm still grateful to Port Mafia for giving me a place to work. I don't hold anything against the organization, but at the same time, I can't divorce Mori-san from it. Especially when he's here.
