(optional) NOTES

[The sun doesn't so much as rise as flick on with the sudden, glaring brightness of noon. Whatever time keeping device you have on you says its about 8:14am when this happens.

The power's back, but the time on your timekeeping device never really make sense with the position of the sun as it moves across the sky.]

I also love conversation. Genuinely, that also sounds lovely.

[he still has them closed, at least until they're in an apartment with the curtains drawn]

. . .

[leans in to kiss him briefly, before stepping into the apartment]

Oh!

[kisses back quite eagerly]

[—a little startled at that, lingering, lips soft, with that palpable sense of charm and warmth and arousal]

[smiles, leading him in and going over to the curtains to draw them before he opens his eyes. The pigment has drained from his whites, though his irises are still a dark purple instead of their usual light lavender, and his whites are bloodshot and sore-looking]

There we are, then.

[brushing his knuckles against his cheek, looking at him]

Blessing and a curse, huh?

[well, leans into that perfectly willingly]

Unfortunately so. I imagine most defects are.

A sensory one, yes. Superior sight and hearing is only an advantage when it doesn't interfere with your life.

[personal profile] turnonmycharm 2017-09-15 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the sun doesn't usually turn off and on quite so aggressively.

It's generally a bit more reliable, yes.

It chose an inopportune time to change the status quo.

[personal profile] ribblerouser 2017-11-14 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
Oh well. I shan't get far blaming a sun for my problems.

[personal profile] turnonmycharm 2017-11-19 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you should. Maybe people don't give it a hard time often enough.

[personal profile] ribblerouser 2017-11-19 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
In all honesty, I'm not sure it cares so much about little folk like you and I.
turnonmycharm: (22)

[personal profile] turnonmycharm 2017-11-22 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
Hah! All the more reason to not get complacent?
ribblerouser: (Untitled-54)

[personal profile] ribblerouser 2017-11-22 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. I won't fight the sun on a first offense regardless.
turnonmycharm: (16)

[personal profile] turnonmycharm 2017-11-22 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
[he laughs]

Only if the sun keeps up poor behaviour?

[personal profile] ribblerouser 2017-11-22 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes that's how you have to be.

[personal profile] turnonmycharm 2017-11-23 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
A pretty reasonable policy to have.

[reaching up to lightly brush his fingers through Mikk's bangs]
