Nothing? An AU version of my matespirit showed up except he doesn't remember he's my matespirit. Which is like, whatever, AUs happen, frankly the timeline where we DID go flushed seems like the unrealistic one. I just thought... I don't know I guess I didn't think about AUs being an option now.

Ok, yeah I can't dispute the bare narrative facts there but I'm telling you. It's not like that for us. Alt timeline peeps are just a normal thing that happen sometimes. There is literally no point in getting worked up over them.

That's a totally different situation and you know it. Due to genre limitations, Sandler had no way of accessing alternate timelines where Lucy had a functioning nostalgia sponge. Though FRANKLY I'm still not convinced that wasn't part of the appeal for him. Someone who couldn't see through his flimsy disguise as a three dimensional character.
