[literally nothing seems to be happening in QM today. no terrible Snapchat call-outs, no magical Venitian vacation, everybody is probably the age they're supposed to be, but I mean, who can even tell here...

anyway, what are you up to this fine, completely regular day, citizens?]

[Lassie has two puppies on a walk and they are absolutely getting tangled up with each other. do you:

- do nothing
- assist

[T'Challa is dressed in average American-style clothes hanging about the apartments, with something that looks like a thermal lunchbag in one hand]

[that's cool, i guess . . . ]

[in the hallway? i guess, or wherever the weird magic elevator lets him off into Erik's floor and dropping the bag down outside the door]

[aight]

[looking around a little hopefully before he leaves...]

[there is tupperware, like halfway between erik's door and the next]

[it's dirty, of course]

[his expression does not change as he picks it up, but after he gets into the elevator he smiles into the mirror]

[he also returns the same time next day with a new present, dropping it in the same spot and looking around for an empty container]

[it's at the elevator, bye]

[well, Marcel lives here so it's only a matter of time before they run into each other. and his eyes go immediately to the lunchbag, why are you like this?]

Marcel.

I have something for you—ah, not this. Give me a moment.

Damn, I didn't get you anything.

[is Marcel going to follow him right to Erik's apartment. if he does he will witness T'Challa set the bag down by the door, then look around for an empty, used tupperware before he goes]

Feral cats are a lot of work.

[he glances over, then just presses the button on the elevator for his own apartment]

I've had practice. My entire family is fond of them.

You're not making me one of them, are you? Feed me every so often, hope I keep coming back?

[just picks it up and goes on his way. he completed his task.]

[a few hours later, once he's done getting his training for the day done and eating . . . ringing t'challa up with his kimoyo bead]

[it takes a few seconds, but he does answer, expression neutral]

[going to let that silence sink for awhile]

. . . Roof.

[and hanging up]

[walking over to the kitchen where he grabs a nice-looking suitcase from the counter and holding it out to Marcel]

You're as perceptive as I thought.

[yeah he goes, not like, immediately, but within a reasonable amount of time, just opening the door to the roof slowly and stepping out, letting the door close behind him as he just stands in front of the doorway]

You're making this look like a mob film.

[ why is it in a suitcase? man, he's just gonna open it. ]

[seated at the roof ledge, chill, eventually talking]

What'd they say about him? My dad never coming back.
