That's always hard to narrow down, isn't it? I've read a lot in my time. Let's see, though . . . probably stories that give me a glimpse of something I haven't seen before. Humans are fascinating in their constant creativity—questioning things, imagining things, re-imagining them. I like fiction that's some kind of meta-commentary, where I can see how that story grew out of an author's life or desires or socio-political reality.
