[Quiet Mounds' own Hot Topic, Spicy Discourse, has had black drapes over it for the past few days with a sign up: CLOSED FOR OVERHAUL.

It is open again! It looks... kinda dope, actually. Smoke effects and colored lights, lots of black and red and purple and pink, lots of ripped and skin-tight and leather-embroidered. And of course, Linkin Park is blasting.

Hey, time doesn't exist, so why aren't you living your truth and dressing as dramatically as possible? Maybe you should get over yourself and admit the studded pre-ripped jeans and old-fashioned faded golden-age Captain America crop-top look amazing on you. Honestly the quality of all the products is way up?? VERY Spicy Discourse style, of course, but even if full-blown goth isn't your style, there's always statement pieces or fun accessories. NPCs are manning sales. In the back with the band T-Shirts is a mysterious man in an owl skull mask, black jeans, and a black hoodie, reading a futuristic glowing slate & somehow eating donuts and coffee.

Perusing the shelves like someone who is fully aware he doesn't belong here but is curious anyway.

YOU CAN ALTERNATELY FIND HIM:

1. inspecting the smallest pair of fuzzy handcuffs (actually a keychain). he has one closed around his thumb. this seems incorrect, tho...

2. inspecting the LEAST DRAMATIC BLACK PANTS HE CAN FIND, dubiously mumbling "It says it's my usual size..."

3. trying on the LEAST DRAMATIC HOODIE he can find, only to determine this was definitely made for shorter people.]

[somebody CLEARLY finds all of this intensely charming like wow. look at this. humanity is amazing. he's just sort of poking around various displays and racks in this store, obviously not seriously shopping for anything but just kind of taking in the atmosphere.]
